Famous in Taiwan’s art world for her realistic photography, Huang Chia-Ning’s works are inspired by accidental, unintentional handy snapshots taken from various perspectives in accordance with her personal preference. As a result, compared with ordinary photographs, which exhibit calmness and realness, Huang adds a personal sense of humor into her works. Inspired by experiences in daily life, Huang creates still oil paintings. 《Cockscomb》, a painting in proportion to a photo of the same name, creates a vague contour and depth of field via the artist’s imagination, introducing a different perspective from that of the original photo.
